Welcoming 2 new Board Members to SVI!

We are thrilled to announce that 2 new fantastic Board Members were elected to the Social Value International Board at our 2022 AGM.

Ada Yip and Catherine Manning will be joining the SVI Board at an exciting time for our global movement, and we look forward to their leadership and expert guidance as we work together to change the way society accounts for value.

Ada Yip | CEO, Urban Spring Co. Ltd, Hong Kong


Ada Yip is the Chief Executive Officer of Urban Spring, a social enterprise that addresses single-use plastic bottles issue. She is also a director of WYNG 43 Social Investment which invests in financial and human capital in innovative mission-focused start-ups. Ada is an active member of the social innovation and impact investing community, engaging in mentoring and assessment in a variety of incubation programs. Ada has been on the board of Hong Kong Institute of Social Impact Analysts since 2015. Prior to embarking on dedicating her work in social entrepreneurship, Ada worked in the banking and finance institutions in Toronto, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.

 
 
 

Catherine Manning, Operations Director, Social Value UK


Catherine oversees the operations and strategic direction of the UK body for social value and impact management professionals, leading the Engagement Team in building organisational capacity to embed social value management practice into their operations. As lead on public sector engagement Catherine has expertise in social value policy and legislation and translating this into operational practice, and is a member of the National Social Value Taskforce Steering Committee. She has particular expertise in social value assurance, accreditation, and certification, as well as technical practice development. Catherine is a Level 1 Associate Social Value Practitioner.
