Help embed JEDI principles into impact valuation
SVI and the Capitals Coalition’s Value Commission are inviting applications to join the new Diverse Perspectives in Valuation Group. Discover the opportunity and apply by 31 January 2026.
Impact valuation practices are rapidly maturing as organisations recognise the importance of understanding how their decisions affect people and the planet. Yet too often, those most affected by these decisions remain absent from the valuation process. As a result, diverse cultural contexts, lived experiences and worldviews are rarely reflected in how value is defined or measured.
Diverse Perspectives is a global campaign by Social Value International. It builds on the work initiated within the Value Commission by Capitals Coalition, voted to support best practices in impact management by putting people’s voices at the heart of the valuation process. Now, we are taking the next step.
SVI is convening the Diverse Perspectives in Valuation Group, a global community of practitioners, researchers, representatives and leaders who will help embed Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) principles into impact valuation practice globally.
This group will ensure that the insights, voices and lived experiences of under-represented and affected groups remain central as impact valuation standards evolve.
Why this group matters
Impact valuation has the potential to influence decisions worth trillions of dollars. It determines which impacts are recognised and how they should be valued. Without diverse perspectives, impact valuation risks reinforcing structural inequities and producing blind spots by leaving out affected stakeholders.
By embedding JEDI principles into valuation practice, the group will strengthen the legitimacy, inclusiveness and credibility of impact valuation globally.
This is an opportunity for group participants to influence the future of emerging standards while shaping research and practice in an evolving field.
Who we are looking for
Membership is open globally and welcomes individuals who can contribute insight, experience, or lived knowledge.
We encourage expressions of interest from people who meet at least two of the following:

You can advance this work through expertise, lived experience, networks, research, advocacy, or practical engagement.
We particularly welcome applicants from regions, sectors, cultures, or knowledge traditions that are under-represented in global valuation conversations.
