SVI Joins Forces with CCE to Strengthen Sustainability in Financial Reporting

Social Value International is delighted to have signed a partnership agreement with the Centre for Climate Engagement (CCE), an academic centre based at Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge, to advance the work of the True & Fair Project

The Project, which is an initiative hosted by SVI, is raising awareness of the ‘true and fair’ requirement in company law around the world. This collaboration will draw on CCE’s academic and legal expertise to support company directors, investors and accounting professional in understanding how sustainability considerations fit within existing financial reporting obligations.

CCE will contribute research, legal analysis, and practical guidance tailored to board directors, drawing on its global network through the Climate Governance Initiative. The partnership aims to translate complex legal obligations into accessible materials and tools that help decision-makers act on their sustainability responsibilities.

Jeremy Nicholls, Senior Advisor to the True & Fair Project, says:

To change the present system, we have to change the way profit is calculated. That starts with recognising the real costs of doing business – and making sure they’re accounted for. This partnership is a key step in helping boards and investors lead that change.”

Follow the True & Fair Project on LinkedIn to stay updated on the research and practical guidance that SVI will roll out with the CCE in 2026.
