SVI Supports ImpactWorks Alliance to Embed Sustainability into Private Sector Decision-Making
Social Value International is proud to be a founding collaborator of the ImpactWorks Alliance, a global partnership for action on sustainability convened by UNDP and ISO that was announced today at the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) .
We are joining forces to support a fundamental shift in private sector leadership; one that embeds sustainability and impact into decision-making, and that pushes for a future where performance includes people and planet, not just profit.
The Alliance seeks to address a well-recognised gap between sustainability commitments and on-the-ground implementation. It will support organisations to move beyond statements and toward systems, enabling credible, practical implementation of sustainability management standards. This will include the SDG Impact Standards developed by UNDP, and the forthcoming ISO Standard (53001) that specifies requirements for a Sustainable Development Goals Management System.
As the global network for social value and impact management professionals, SVI brings deep expertise in implementation and a thriving community of practitioners, trainers and assurance providers. We look forward to contributing to the Alliance’s peer learning agenda, supporting national-level action, and helping organisations deliver on their sustainability ambitions in a way that drives long-term resilience, innovation and public trust.
Organizations interested in joining the co-design phase, beginning in July 2025, are invited to contact Şebnem Şener, Head of Private Finance for the SDGs at UNDP.
