Consultation feedback call — CSDDD & TISFD
Tuesday 21 July, 4pm UK time
Two major consultations are open until the end of this month, and SVI is preparing responses to both. This call is an opportunity for members from across the Global Network to share their feedback on our draft responses before we submit — and to hear from others across our global community doing the same.
The consultations
The Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD): The European Commission is developing guidelines to support implementation of the Directive, which requires large companies operating in the EU to identify, prevent and address adverse impacts on human rights and the environment across their operations and value chains. The guidelines will shape what companies, regulators and stakeholders are actually asked to do in practice.
Deadline: 24 July.
TISFD Framework (Beta v0.1): The Taskforce on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures has released the first draft of its framework for how businesses and financial institutions identify and disclose people-related impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities. This is the earliest stage at which to comment.
Deadline: 31 July.
