Join us for an information session introducing Optimise Your Impact, a new guide developed by Adam Richards and Agata Fortuna, members of the Social Value International Standards Committee.
The guide builds on the Principles of Social Value and the UNDP SDG Impact Standards to support organisations in strengthening their approach to impact management and using impact information to inform better decision-making.
This guide addresses a broad range of organisations seeking to integrate impact management into existing practices or to embed it from the outset, not just in the design of products and services but in the way they operate including the whole value chain.
The Optimise Your Impact Guide is evolving the approach proposed by the Maximise Your Impact Guide for Social Entrepreneurs (2019) by placing a greater focus on generating options and making decisions to optimise value for different groups of those affected, recognising the risks and trade-offs that come with every decision.
The guide builds on the work done by the authors in their capacity as accredited practitioners for the SDG Impact Standards and is informed by their contributions to the development of ISO/UNDP 53001. During this session, the authors will introduce the guide, explore its purpose and key concepts, discuss how practitioners can use it in their work, and answer questions from the public.
