Join the conversation: The complete set of Standards for Applying the Principles of Social Value

Following the publication of the latest version of the Standards for Applying the Principles of Social Value, Social Value International will host an online event on 22 April 2026 to introduce the document and reflect on its meaning for Social Value practice and the work behind its development.

The Standards set out SVI’s current understanding of best practice in applying the eight Principles of Social value to understand impacts that matter to people affected, build a social value account, report transparently and use the information to support better decisions.

To mark the publication, we are bringing together members of the SVI Standards Committee to have a conversation about the thinking behind this version of the Standards, the changes Committee members believe are particularly important to note and the next steps for both the Standards Committee and those using the Standards in practice.

This event will be of interest to professionals working in social value, SROI, impact accounting and impact measurement and management.

There will also be open Q&A, giving you the chance to ask practical questions about using the Standards and what they mean for practice going forward.
