ISO-UNDP Standards Recognized in FFD4 Outcome Document Ahead of Seville Conference

The upcoming Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4) is a critical global moment to align financial flows with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Compromiso de Sevilla for Action, the conference’s negotiated outcome document, acknowledges the urgency of redirecting both public and private capital toward inclusive, sustainable development.

Importantly, the outcome document recognizes the ISO-UNDP guidelines (ISO 53002) and upcoming ISO-UNDP Management System Standards (ISO 53001) as essential tools for improving the sustainability performance of private sector investment. These standards are being developed in collaboration with the International Organization for Standardization and UNDP, aim to promote transparency, comparability, and accountability in SDG-aligned finance.

UNDP will actively participate in FFD4 through a series of high-level events and technical sessions on impact measurement, innovative financing, and SDG integration, reinforcing its leadership role in shaping global sustainable finance architecture.
