Member Spotlight

Meet our members, read their stories, and learn what SVI membership means to them.

THIS MONTH’S SPOTLIGHT:

  • EvolutionLabs is a strategy and innovation studio that helps organisations design systems for growth, impact, and learning. We work across business, education, and social innovation to create structures where people and organisations evolve together.

In collaboration with OndernemersAdviseurs, a multidisciplinary consultancy network in the Netherlands, we apply Social Value and SROI thinking in both private and public contexts. Together we bridge the gap between strategy, measurement, and long-term societal value creation.

  • We joined Social Value International because we wanted to align our work with an internationally recognised standard for measuring and managing impact. SVI’s principles and assurance framework provide the rigor and consistency we were looking for, while the global community offers a space to share learning with like-minded practitioners who care about value beyond profit.

The network bridges disciplines, from education to government and business, which fits perfectly with our belief that true impact emerges at the intersection of these worlds.

  • Membership has helped us build a stronger foundation for our SROI practice. The principles, guidance, and assurance materials have been instrumental in designing a transparent and credible approach for hybrid learning environments.

The access to global discussions and best practices gave us the confidence to scale our method from local projects to a national network in the Netherlands. I would recommend SVI to any organisation that wants to go beyond measuring outputs and start managing real outcomes in collaboration with their stakeholders.

  • We apply Social Value principles through a practical SROI model embedded in hybrid learning environments such as the Professional Workplace for Societal Impact (PWMI) in Eindhoven. Our approach combines stakeholder engagement, materiality analysis, and forecasting to help educational and social partners understand how their activities create value for students, professionals, and communities. This data directly informs curriculum design, partnership strategy, and local policy, ensuring that decisions are based on experienced value rather than assumptions. In short, Social Value is not an add-on for us, it is the language through which we connect learning, collaboration, and societal change.

  • The SVI guidance library and the discussions on Assurance and Overclaiming have been particularly helpful in shaping our method. These resources helped us design a transparent valuation process that balances academic integrity with accessibility for practitioners in education. In addition, the openness of the SVI community, from webinars to shared case studies has been inspiring. Seeing how members around the world adapt the same principles to different contexts encouraged us to develop a platform that does the same for hybrid learning environments. The SVI network reminded us that while contexts differ, the principles remain universal: involve stakeholders, understand what changes, and value what matters.

  • Josip Pezer is a strategic advisor, educator, and founder of Evolution Labs, working in collaboration with Ondernemersadviseurs in the Netherlands. His expertise lies in Social Return on Investment (SROI), impact measurement, and system-based change within education and social innovation. Josip combines strategic consulting with practical implementation, helping organizations build structures where learning, policy, and impact are aligned. His recent work focuses on translating Social Value principles into measurable outcomes for hybrid learning environments such as the Professional Workplace for Societal Impact (PWMI) in Eindhoven.

Social Value is not just about measuring impact, but about creating systems where people continuously learn from it, where measurement becomes a living process of reflection and improvement.”
