First Acceleration Programme for Social Service Providers in Croatia with Great Impact

Social service providers in Croatia face serious and persistent challenges - from complicated administrative procedures, unstable and insufficient funding, to organisational weaknesses and limited capacity for growth. These barriers often limit their ability to deliver meaningful change and social value. In response, ACT Group, as part of the Caring Communities project consortium, launched and implemented the first acceleration support programme of its kind for social service providers in Croatia.

The six-month pilot programme offered individual, tailor-made support, designed according to in-depth needs assessments of each participating organisation. We supported six social service organisations, helping them build their capacities, strengthen their operations, and most importantly, amplify their positive impact on society.

Through the accelerator, participants achieved

- Stronger skills, knowledge, and professional development at the individual level, resulting in higher-quality services for their communities.

- New business and financial opportunities, ensuring greater sustainability and innovation in delivering social services.

- Increased motivation, self-confidence, and a sense of security, creating more resilient teams.

- Expanded networks and partnerships, boosting their ability to collaborate and co-create solutions.

- Enhanced visibility and positioning in society and on the market.

- A deeper understanding of social impact measurement, leading to services that are more responsive and effective in meeting community needs.

The results of this pilot programme clearly show its great impact on both organisational and societal levels. If you are interested in collaborating with us or supporting this initiative, please don't hesitate to contact the ACT Group. Together, we can strengthen social services and build more caring communities.
