Social Value Türkiye Hosts Jeremy Nicholls for a Series of Events in Istanbul
In April 2026, Social Value Türkiye welcomed Jeremy Nicholls, co-founder of Social Value International and a leading advocate for social value and impact accounting, for a series of events in Istanbul.
The events brought together members, practitioners, sustainability professionals, accountants and civil society representatives to discuss the future of social value, impact accounting and sustainability reporting.
The visit began on 14 April with a breakfast gathering for Social Value Türkiye members. The event brought together 15 members for an informal networking session and discussion on emerging developments in social value, impact measurement and accounting practices. Participants had the opportunity to engage directly with Jeremy Nicholls and exchange perspectives on current trends shaping the field internationally. Also, members learned more about Nicholl’s new book and the True & Fair campaign through an open discussion.
Later that day, Social Value Türkiye organised a technical roundtable discussion with experts from finance, sustainability, accounting and impact management. Hosted with the support of Forvis Mazars Türkiye, the session explored current developments in impact accounting and sustainability reporting and provided an opportunity for participants to exchange knowledge and experiences from their respective sectors.
The visit concluded on 15 April with the launch of The Accounting Paradox, organised in collaboration with Ashoka Türkiye. Attended by approximately 40 participants from across the social impact, sustainability, business and civil society ecosystems, the event focused on the role of accounting in shaping economic decision-making and the importance of recognizing social and environmental value alongside financial performance.
Through these events, Social Value Türkiye continued to foster dialogue, learning and collaboration around social value and impact management in Türkiye.
